I cannot explain myself, sir, for I am not myself you see....

Alice In Wonderland. Well, it didn't crack up to be all I imagined it to be. Tim Burton did a very good job at making a movie. but he did a terrible job at transforming an amazing book into screenplay. If you didn't know the story of Alice in Wonderland and went to see the film I would imagine you'd love it but the whole point of the story is to use your imagination and the imagery in my mind of wonderland was so much more than what Tim Burton came up with. Especially as Alice was portrayed as a 19 year old returning to what the 9 year old previously called Wonderland rather than "Underland".

Saying all this, I did enjoy the film. Helena Bonham Carter made a perfect queen of heart.

With my past experiences of Jabberwockeez (LIB - you evil girl) I did find myself covering my eyes and sort of peeping through my fingers when Alice fought it. I had a good look at it's feet to check if they matched up with the ones that LIB drew on a piece of paper and put on bedroom floor so try and scare me... She succeded! My worst chilhood fear was the jaberwocky and that won't be going away any time soon after watching that film!

Anyway, this and mum's birthday afternoon tea has inspired me to have a mad hatters tea party for my 20th birthday in August! It's March and I am planning my birthday already! I will dress as alice.. of course!

Goodnight xoxo

Not that I ever go to the cinema unless it's to drag R to one of the Twilight movies(!!!!LOL!!!), I had been thinking about this one. Interesting to hear that you were unimpressed with the screenplay after all the hype that has been built around it. I might wait and catch up with it on DVD sometime in the future (or not!)
I am a little confused about the whole Jaberthingy - what????

Jabberwocky! Lib used to tell me stories about it. She drew footprints on a piece of paper and left it in my bedroom, she even had stuart tell me he was going out to get a bottle of wine and he hid under my bed until i was half asleep and then jumped out and pretended to be a jabberwocky. I don't think I have ever been so scared in all my life
